The closing question-and-answer segment of Alia Bilal's talk on the Inner-City Muslim Action Network (IMAN). Scott Humphrey of Urban and Regional Planning asked how outsiders from higher-income neighborhoods can support change in low-income communities without displacing local leadership. Bilal mentioned an upcoming two-day community organizing training and the "Muslim Run" corner-store campaign, and argued that residents and suburban allies work the campaigns side by side.
