Restorative Practice as a Way of Being With Each Other

Elaine, a local conflict-resolution consultant with conflict180.com, presented restorative practice as "a way of being with each other" rather than a method. She walked the lunchtime audience through a four-quadrant "restorative matrix" adapted from Wachtel's social discipline window, using examples from her own parenting and from school and agency work, and led paired exercises.
