Alumnus Robert F. "Bob" Case, introduced by Illini Media Company CEO Jake Williams, narrated the photographs he took as a student stringer during the May 1970 campus strike following the Kent State shootings and the Cambodia invasion. He recalled running the University YMCA darkroom and photo lab, his own arrest and overnight jailing with 157 others, police and National Guard deployment, and supplying prints as evidence in later trials. Audience members noted that the photos show an almost entirely white campus, raised Jackson State, and recalled a Champaign police killing of a Black man weeks before May 1970.
