Inclusion for All of Society

Sean Garrick, Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, opened the spring 2025 Friday Forum x Conversation Cafe series. He described his office's scope, the land-grant mission and what DEI does not do, then took pointed student and community questions about cultural center funding, campus climate survey data and federal executive orders. Anne Rasmus welcomed the audience, noting the Friday Forum's 98th year and the Murphy Gallery exhibition "American Peril: Faces of the Enemy" by Justin Chu, and Ross Wantland previewed the 14th Illinois Interfaith Conference.
