An artist talk and slide presentation on the exhibition "Native American Body of Art," which Brent Learned, Southern Cheyenne-Arapaho from Oklahoma, described as the first modern collection of Native-created nude art. He walked through works by participating artists while two of them, Serena Penaloza (Navajo and Maricopa) and MaryBeth Nelson (Cherokee), explained their own pieces, including accounts of hesitation, cultural taboo, body image and harassment in the art market. He closed with paintings depicting the Sand Creek Massacre and took audience questions on mascots, Confederate monuments and violence against Native women.
