Mobilizing Newly Naturalized Voters

Nancy Flores, Abdul Nasir Rashid and Diego Ines Lopez of the National Partnership for New Americans traced NPNA's founding after Obama's election, the Naturalize Now campaign, USCIS backlogs and fee increases, and the data-driven New American Voters 2020 digital campaign. A New American Welcome Center VISTA, Griselda, introduced them and promoted Welcoming Week, the 2020 census deadline and the Immigrant Relief Fund. Fall 2020 series "The State of Our Democracy," held on Zoom in partnership with the NAWC's Welcoming Week (Sept. 12-20, theme "Creating Home Together").
